She's Topless!!

Hi Guys!

It's been a while. We've had a busy last few weeks. Mom and Dad and Dustin were out to visit this past week and we kept ourselves busy! We got to do a lot of shopping and touring. I know Trevor and I really appreciated having a taste of home and I hope they had just as much fun. I've got some pictures below of our adventures. We took a trip to PEI as well. We arrived by ferry and left via the Centennial Bridge. Unfortunately when we left it was quite dark and we didn't get to see much from the bridge, but it was still quite an experience! We went to Charlottetown and visited Sandland and to Cavendish for shopping and lobster supper (for some... the rest of us enjoyed our beef!). The landscape was quite different from what Trevor and I have seen in New Brunswick... in fact, it was much more close to home! There were many farms and fields and even the odd tractor. We also had the chance to visit Fundy National Park. There were many hiking trails and we did the one to the falls and then enjoyed a 'smokie-roast' for lunch. We sat on the beach during low tide and watched the tide come in... it was really quite neat to see... it comes in pretty fast! We had warm weather, but rarely saw the sun. We really hoped to take everyone to the Parlee beach, but we just didn't have a warm enough day to enjoy it. I guess fall is really upon us.

My next rotation in is Amherst, NS, a 45 minute drive from Moncton. Because of this, we were in a bit of a rush to get another car. We've been casually looking for some time, but this week was the crunch. That meant dragging our guests shopping for cars as well (terribly sorry!), but we're happy to report the addition of a 2004 Olds Alero to our expanding family. Best of all... it'll fit a car seat and stroller comfortably!

We've also been keeping a close eye on our house. We picked our cabinet, counter, siding, and shingle colours last week. The house is still topless, but coming along quite nicely. The roof pieces are at the site, but not on top yet. It's taking shape really quickly! There's just less than 2 months until we move in and we're just so excited! It'll be nice to be somewhere more permanent and stop living out of our suitcases.

I have my first ultrasound on Tuesday and if we get a good picture, I promise to have it up by the end of the week (as long as my call schedule's not that busy!)

Here's the newest addition....

Some pictures from butterfly world.... An absolutely beautiful solarium filled with butterflies that aren't afraid to land on you! Especially if you're holding a slice of orange.

While we were in PEI, Trevor went fising for lobster!

Sandland was my favorite place on the island. These are larger than life sculptures made from the sand from the Charlottetown beach. The sculptors come from all over, including some local, and some as far away as Moscow! There are numerous sculptures... this is only a taste!

This is the ferry we took from Nova Scotia to PEI (well, not the actual one, but it's twin that we passed on the way!). It fits 60 cars and takes about 75 minutes to cross. This is by far the largest boat I've ever been on!

The day we were at Fundy National park was cloudy and a bit windy, but not enough to clear the fog! This is the view from the lookout point at the beginning of the trail to the waterfall.

Here's our other addition. She's really a hobo who stops by every once in a while. All she ever wants is a sip of milk and a warm place to sleep. And if you'll cuddle her while she's there... she's even happier!
