Trevor, Allison, Austin, and Aubrey: Drumrolll Please....!

Hello! Thanks for the patience! I know it's been a really long time and we profusely appologize for keeping you in such suspense. Yes... It was Austin's first birthday a little more than a week ago... and yes... he did get covered in cake... and of course... I've got pictures! I've got so many pictures to share this post (since it's been awile), that I'll keep the words to a minimum. Briefly, work's going good. Trevor's getting quite busy at the clinic. We're looking forward to a weekend away at the end of the month in Halifax. Trevor has a course he's taking out there and Austin and I intend to tag along for the shopping (yay Disney store!). Austin's growing (24lb and 4oz today) and getting into everything. He started truly walking this past week. One of my cousins was in town for a teaching course and was over for a visit. That night Austin decided to go for a trip around the living room... surprising us all! He's been going strong since. We have our flights already booked for Trent and Jane's wedding too! We'll be seeing you all in April! And can't wait!

When Austin and I were in Saskatoon in January... he was just too cute playing on Grandma's bed after his bath!

Not so funny story.... I was making supper and on the phone with Rogers (never a short conversation..../complaint process...). To keep Austin entertained, I opened the lazy suzan to let him play with the cans.... He'd been awfully quiet, which I thought was great 'cause I could finish my phone call and get supper made... then I heard.. "yum!"... and looked down to see an empty cereal box and my son sitting in the middle of its contents (amd thoroughly enjoying them!). By the time I got the camera, he'd climbed out... and into the drawer beneath the stove... to admire his creation I'm sure!

Bath time is still the favorite time for all of

us!

He's become quite the little mimicker.... and has taken a particular liking to the phone... He'll pretend talk on nearly anything! From TV remotes to toy trucks!

Another monkey moment.... this time he had the pots and pan drawer while I cooked.... and decided he needed a closer look! I got to the camera in time!

He got a wagon from Grandma and Grandpa... and was spoiled by riding inside the house!

We got him a slide/play house for his birthday. Finally something he can climb on that he doesn't get shooed off!

Our first swimming trip the day after the big birthday. Everyone has to wear swim caps out here! Even though most guys have more hair on their chests than Austin has on his head (as Uncle pointed out!). That's okay... he's awful cute in a swim cap!
